Due to illness, a huge rush at work, and other scheduling conflicts–my favorite combination of things, absolutely–This Week in Podcasts will be on hiatus until Saturday, September 9th. I apologize for not posting something sooner; I know no notice was given before this week’s post failed to come out. Thank you all for understanding.
I do want to say, though, that last week’s highlight was absolutely Wolf 359‘s “Episode 52: Constructive Criticism.” While I’ve had my issues with this season of Wolf 359, this episode felt like a return to the show that raised the bar on my expectations for audio dramas. The writing and acting were fantastic (though the acting has never really suffered a loss in quality), but one of the things that stood out to me the most was the scoring for the episode. The music felt reinvigorated after losing some of its luster after so many episodes. The combination of character writing, comedy, and drama felt like what makes this show such a standout in the industry, and I hope the positive trend continues for the remainder of their final season.
As a reminder, I’m in the last few days of my social media hiatus, and I will be returning my tumblr and twitter on September 1st. If there are any updates to my posting schedule, I’ll be sure to say things in both places first.
I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you so much! Here’s hoping–I don’t know how many more boxes of tissues I can go through before all of the rainforests are just gone forever.
