Highlights
Caravan, “Riders in the Sky” and “On the Road Again”
The Whisperforge’s new production, Caravan, debuted this week with two gorgeous episodes that feel both emblematic of the studio’s pillars and completely new. With gorgeous sound design and intimate writing, Caravan feels like a perfect fit for The Whisperforge—but Caravan already feels like an exciting tonal departure. Following, and narrated by, protagonist Samir, Caravan is about a strange canyon with cowboys, demons, and “unicorns,” but it still manages to feel emotionally captivating within its bizarre slipstream setup. The characters are immediately captivating, and Sushant Adlakha’s Samir already feels like one of the great leads of 2019.
