This Week in Podcasts is a weekly roundup of mini-reviews of all of the podcasts I’ve listened to in a week. The Bright Sessions
“Dr. Bright”
This finale for cornerstone audio drama The Bright Sessions felt like the perfect end to a season of high stakes and an ever-widening plot. I’m going to try not to spoil too much, but having Dr. Bright herself as the focus was a brilliant choice that felt so thematically resonant; we’ve seen Dr. Bright have emotional moments or discuss her beliefs, but hearing her speak so frankly about how she actually feels was such an elegant way to bring this ending full-circle. There’s still more plot here to expand upon, and it will be–but for now, I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to this beautiful, important audio drama.
