Wooden Overcoats, the delightful podcast sitcom about competing funeral home owners, has begun kickstarting its third season. The fund’s goal (in USD) is $10,330, and ends on September 30th, 2017. The show, which has received critical acclaim, also funded its second season via Kickstarter. The second season’s Kickstarter raised about $13,300, exceeding its ~$10,000 goal with 410 backers.
As with any Kickstarter, the campaign comes with a few exciting rewards for backers (for a complete list, please see the Kickstarter page, linked below):
- At £5+, backers receive PDFs of main characters Antigone and Rudyard Funn’s school reports, as well as the lower-tier rewards
- At £25+, backers receive both audio and video of Wooden Overcoat‘s live shows, as well as the lower-tier rewards
- At £50+, backers receive a personalized message from one of the show’s characters, as well as the lower-tier rewards
The show also has a list of bonus episodes it will release for each £2,000. These bonus episode will be written by writers from other audio dramas, such as The Bright Sessions‘s Lauren Shippen and Wolf 359‘s Gabriel Urbina. If the show reaches is stretch goal of £10,000 (about $13,000), the crew will also release a bonus episode titled “Rudyard Ruins Summer,” which will only be available to its Kickstarter backers. The first bonus episode, “Antigone Antagonized,” is available today on podcast streaming platforms.
