Tomorrow, 3/27/17, the S-Town is being released in full on all standard podcast streaming/download providers. S-Town is the new show produced by This American Life and the staff of Serial. The show is taking a note out of all-in-one releases a la Netflix’s model. Taken from the S-Town site, here’s a quick description:
John despises his Alabama townand decides to do something about it.He asks a reporter to investigate the son of a wealthy family who’s allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder. But then someone else ends up dead, sparking a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man’s life.
I’ll be releasing a review as soon as I finish the series. Given that on top of listening to 56 podcasts, I also work 40 hours a week . . . I’ll try to review it as quickly as possible. I’m giving myself a deadline of having a full review completed before the week’s end.
I’ll likely be informally liveblogging my responses on my tumblr and/or livetweeting on my twitter, so make sure to catch me on those platforms if you’re not too averse to spoilers. I’ll try to keep it as spoiler-free as possible.
